I’ve spent the past week living in Claude Code and Codex. Being a daily ChatGPT user alone won’t get you a true sense of what AI can already do today. Using these vibe coding platforms builds a far more direct intuition for what AI can actually achieve right now.

It’s incredible how this reshapes the way we build. The cost of product creation — historically one of the most expensive factors in a startup — is trending sharply toward zero. This permanently redefines the future of knowledge work.

The bottleneck has shifted: at a global level, it’s compute and energy. At the individual level, it’s agency (creative + energy).

Programming has evolved from using hammers and pickaxes to commanding an AI labor force. We can build, tear down, and re-architect in a near instant. It’s moved from sketching rigid blueprints carefully to oil painting multiple art at 1,000x speed. It’s less like a step-by-step walk and more like riding and steering a wave of progress through fluid reasoning.

As Paul Graham once said, “action produces information” and vibe coding is exactly that. The dopamine hit from coding has gone 100x with AI.

The fundamental nature of creation has changed. If you still think AI “isn’t good enough,” you’re already lagging far behind.
